March Faves – What I’m Loving This Month

For some, March is just a shoulder month until warmer weather makes an appearance but for me, it’s one of my favourite months of the year since it’s my Birthday Month. Before you ask, no I’m not someone who celebrates all month long (how exhausting!) but there is something invigorating about its energy. The days get longer, the sun seems brighter, it’s slowly getting warmer — these are all good things! This March, I’m back with a new round-up of my current favourites from cookbooks, fashion collabs, beauty products and more that I’m loving.

Jamie Oliver: Together

Curry Night Feast!

If you really know me, then you know that my love for all things Jamie Oliver runs deep. Yes, I have nearly every single cookbook, and yes, I’ve likely seen every episode of every one of his series’ probably twice. His style of cooking and the way he explains everything makes it fun to follow along and it’s no different with one of his newer books ‘Together’. The book is centred around creating feasts to share and these spreads are truly unreal to see. I recently spent a whole day in the kitchen recreating the entire menu for his Curry Night and it was spectacular!

Melanie Auld Hoops

One of my big goals for a long time has been to shop more local, so when I was invited back in the fall to preview the new Melanie Auld boutique on Ossington, I knew this was my chance. The store is not only stunning but I found the gold hoops of my dreams and I wear them every single day. The 8mm huggies are so lightweight and they go with everything — plus they don’t get tangled in my mask either.

H&M ss22

Brighter days are truly on the horizon and here to celebrate it is fashion super brand H&M with their just-launched SS22 collection. The bright and playful mood-enhancing pieces offer a unique take on avant-garde with items like lace-up jeans, a ruffle-adorned mesh top, as well as a rhinestone-trimmed little black dress. The vibe here is celebrating the excitement of getting dressed up again and bringing back the spirit of the late ’80s and early 2000s.

Oscar Wylee

Something you might not know about me is that I’ve been wearing contact lenses since I was about 16 years old. Note that I mentioned contacts — not glasses and that’s because I’ve never really found a pair that I love. That is until I stepped into Oscar Wylee. The brand just opened their new flagship at Sherway Gardens and I snapped up two pairs in a matter of minutes. With over 300 SKUs to choose from, there’s something for everybody with their range of specs, sunnies, blue-light and even tinted lenses!

Lanolips 101 Ointment

Even though we can feel Spring is right around the corner, throughout winter I’ve been struggling with dry skin and lips. One of my true lifesavers has been this Lanolips 101 Ointment. I use it mainly as a lip balm but I also apply it to my cuticles that have certainly seen better days. The result is hydrated hands and soft lips in no time!

Biossance Squalane Oil

While we’re on the subject of hydration, another top fave of mine this month is the Squalane oil from Biossance. This baby can be used all over the body and it’s been amazing for me. I apply straight out of the shower and what I love is that it absorbs so freaking quick so there’s no weird sticky feeling.
